It was a nice visit and value for money. Good things: Joe was an excellent host. The staff are friendly and do their job without being in the way. The area is peaceful and beautiful. WiFi is nice and strong. The house is neat and clean. Everything works that should work. My dog (a Weimeraner) ran wonderfully and enjoyed himself. The dogs on site also made themselves at home and shared in the dog biscuits. We enjoy it when other people's animals are comfortable with us. We really enjoyed the silence and the view is exceptional from our porch. Things that bother: If you advertise that you are pet friendly, I suggest they invest in dark colors for beds. Red soil and light colors in the house simply do not work. Remember, my dog and a two-year-old toddler are on the same level when it comes to getting dirty. The showers need a proper scrub. There was black moss and the drainage took an awfully long time. It is difficult to shower in quick succession because the water drains hopelessly too slowly. Please note, we shower very little.

Lovely place. Very relaxing and quaint. The doggies particularly loved the visit, and they were safely fenced in.

The stay was peaceful with good host. They prepare and clean the braai area everyday and made sure the stay was top class. Def a place to stay for a good rest!

Nice stay in your own mini private forest. We had a really good time, Lorraine and Joe are very friendly and helpful. Our dog loved the place. The cabin is well equipped, just a bit hot during the day but there is a nice pool to cool off in.

We had an incredible time! The dogs on the property are super friendly and welcoming. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Lorraine and Joe were responsive, great hosts and had great suggestions of where to go in the area.

The hosts are warm and friendly and the instructions were very clear.
They also made great recommendations for the area and in particular for a restaurant.
The property has a simplistic, rustic charm and we loved it. We had a winter stay and the fireplace was amazing.
It has great vistas and lovely wooded paths to meander around.
The place is based on a busy provincial road but our chalet was far enough away not to notice to much and it certainly didn't detract from stay.
If you have dogs or love dogs this is the place for you.
We were asked to pay a small cash deposit for breakages which is a little off-putting when booking using this platform but is understandable.
Also be prepared to pay for wood if you want to use same and little touches like milk and cooking oil were lacking. They did provide soap, tea and coffee though.
