We had such a peaceful weekend. What bliss! All of the pets we encountered were very friendly with us and our dog. We even had a morning stroll with one of them and he immediately just wanted to play and was so gentle and friendly with our dog! My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience.
The peace and quiet were amazing but the gardens are jaw dropping-gorgeous.
There are different parts of the venue to explore and look at. My favourite was my dog meeting the pigs and goats for the first time!
I will always recommend this Lodge and we hope to come back soon!

For a long overdue holiday, this was perfect! Beautifully situated in nature, the host made us feel welcome and right at home!

The host is very friendly . Oh and his dogs are friendly too especially the giant one called Alaska
So we liked every thing about the place . Wouldn’t mind going back again.

What a lovely experience, it was quiet secluded and just lovely.
Living in your own wooden cabin closed fence for your dogs.
The dogs enjoyed the walks and adventures with the dogs at the place.
Highly recommended.

ABSOLUTELY Gorgeous!! we had an extremely wonderful time here, from the beautiful little cabins to the most comfortable bed, everything was clean, the gardens where lush and vibrant. We enjoyed the dogs and the close amenities. A lovely getaway. The water ran well. the corn fields were stunning. Friendly people. Thank you !!!
Update:
It is our 3rd visit at Woodland Gardens. We hosted my fiances 40th this past weekend with 4 of our families and fur babies. I cannot express my gratitude enough. We had such a wonderful weekend! Lorraine and Joe were so generous and kind. They provided us with extra chairs, a Gazebo and extra lighting.
All our family members loved their Cabins, the gardens and the animals. As always, everything was clean and comfortable.
Our only regret is that its always too short of a stay. We will return!

It's peaceful and the owners are friendly

This place is ideally situated in such a beautiful piece of nature. There are birds chirping, pigs walking around and most importantly - the resident dogs. It is the ideal break-away if you want to get out of the city and just have a peaceful experience surrounded by nature - perhaps a nice soak in the pool or a few long walks with your own doggy. Each chalet comes with its own braai area and fire pit - meaning you don't have to go far for your evening's entertainment. They even supply braai wood and bonfire logs at an additional charge (spoiler alert: VERY reasonably priced.)

We were in Hornbill with our doggy and can comfortably say that the facilities and attention to detail well surpassed our expectations. The fenced off yard was more than large enough for our dog and made us feel comfortable about his safety, he also appreciated all the different sights and smells it had to offer.

10/10 would definitely go back again.
